Business Development Manager (BDM)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive business growth across our core service lines including international student housing, student employment support, furniture trading, office solutions, and workspace upgrade services.

This is a strategic growth role combining market expansion, partnership development, and revenue generation. You will play a key role in building commercial relationships, expanding new markets, and scaling our service ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business expansion strategies across student services and commercial solutions.
  • Identify new market opportunities, strategic partnerships, and revenue channels.
  • Build and manage relationships with property owners, universities, employers, furniture suppliers, and corporate clients.
  • Lead negotiations, contract development, and deal closures.
  • Drive pipeline generation and meet revenue growth targets.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to refine go-to-market strategies.
  • Collaborate with marketing, operations, and delivery teams to ensure seamless service execution.
  • Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, and business forums.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in business development, market expansion, or sales growth roles.
  • Proven track record in building new markets and driving revenue growth.
  • Experience working with international markets, particularly Australia, China, or Asia-Pacific regionsis highly desirable.
  • Strong commercial negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Ability to manage multi-service portfolios across student services and commercial solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Bilingual (English and Mandarin) is highly regarded.
